Colorado Trip

We went on a road trip to Colorado this July. Although a little iffy once in Colorado, the girls were excellent in the car. It was fantastic to see family and friends. Here are pictures of our adventures at various houses, museums, and parks. Thank you to everybody for letting us crash your usual life style :)

Christmas and Birthdays 2011-2012

We had a nice break with Papa Mark, Grandma Kitty, Aunt Bernadette, Uncle Mack, and Callista up in Sequim. We got to go to Seattle sans kiddos for a couple of days after Christmas (thanks grandparents!) The girls birthdays were great too. Elke had her friend Lorelei over to decorate cupcakes--she ate mac n cheese and pizza. Beatrix kept saying, "I'm two years old!" on her birthday. She ate noodles and peas (her choice) and an ice cream sandwich--there's a good video somewhere of the candle falling on her hand and her refusing to get near it afterwards. Maggie also turned 34. The girls really are doing well. Getting big--and oh so smart!

Pumpkins

Better late than never. Here are some pictures from October- Early December. We had fun picking out pumpkins and playing in Portland. We went trick-or-treating with Mack, Bernadette, and Callista. We saw Santa and a chance parade while hanging out in Portland. Things are well and the girls are a delight. More pictures to come (Christmas and 3 birthdays worth!).

Fall

Life is good. We've had fun seeing lots of family recently. Congrats to Trisha and Pat! We've been going to friday night football games to cheer on our losing team. Elke had a brief encounter with ballet class. Dustin turned 36(!). The girls are getting so big and independent. Bea's ability to talk in complete coherent sentences is amazing. Elke is a total ham (as you can see) and should be a lawyer someday. What else? Happy. Healthy. Content.

Summer time and the livin' is easy

Here are some pics of recent summer fun. The girls are doing really well. We're sad to have to let all the summer free time go as we start school stuff again next week. Spending time with these two nut-jobs all day long this summer has been something we'll always remember--they are so much fun.

Ahh summer! We've had a great time running through the sprinklers, camping outside of Spokane, and seeing the Meylers (mom and Elke got to go) in Milwaukee--which included a picnic at the park, a day at the beach, and a trip to the zoo. Both girls are doing well--happy, bright, kind, and goofy. We are loving our time together this summer!
