"We're set to pop here, Honey."

We're at 38 weeks and wondering when we'll get to meet this creature. The doc seems to think it should happen any day. The baby is actually more than half way down the birth canal already. So we wait. Here are some recent pics.

Full Term

We officially made it. We're at full term now, so where's the kid? She's been stirring a lot lately, and Maggie has had some Braxton-Hicks contractions. Apparently the baby is in the right position. We're all on break from school now, so the timing is right. Who knows? I guess now we just wait. Here's a few different views of the baby's room.

36 weeks big, 36 weeks big. I never got over . . . 36 weeks bi-i-i-IG!

We're getting dangerously close to having ourselves a family here. At any moment we may become three. There is no telling what our lives will be like in just a few short weeks. And the actual experience of labor is more than a little daunting--strangely enough, Maggie is especially concerned about this part of the process. As you can see from this photo, Maggie continues to enlarge. The baby weighs more than six pounds at this point. That's a lot of baby!

We have the first of our weekly appointments starting Monday. We'll post any new news promptly. Peace out peeps!

FYI: The title of this week's blog is an alteration of the song "36 inches high" on Nick Lowe's Pure Pop for Now People.

35+ Weeks

Sorry it took us so long to post this week. We are still going to post this weekend as well. The doc says we can't go anywhere too far away from here on out. He even said we can't go to Seattle, which is only two hours away. So we may be stuck here, but we are enjoying ourselves. We hope that all is well for you all too.

Three more weeks till full term!

We've made it to 34 weeks. Things seem to be going well. Just wanted to keep y'all apprised of the situation. Here's a pic of Mags--still getting bigger!

We went to Uncle Mack's and Aunt Bernadette's house for Thanksgiving, and we had a real nice time down there. It was good to see those two. They put together quite the feast!

Well, that's about it for now. But we'll keep posting every week now until the kid comes along.
Adios!

This body is getting crowded!

Little Sander Baby Shower Rocks the Front Range!
The baby shower was a big success and much fun. We'd like to thank everyone for all the generosity and support. Our baby is truly spoiled. We'd especially like to give a shout out to Aunt Sara for organizing the whole soirée. Maggie really enjoyed seeing everyone; she had a great time.

Here's what's going on with us now:
All the books say that the baby is now about 4.5 pounds. All of this weight is constantly moving. Have you ever had someone reach inside of your body and sock you in the spleen? Well then, I don't know if you can really be empathetic to Maggie's situation at this time.

On the upside, we are getting closer to the date of evacuation. The doc says that we shouldn't stray too far after 35 weeks. Unfortunately, this means that we are going to be home for Christmas. However, Mags' family (the whole darn thing--including little Jack) may come see us for a day!

Anyhow, just wanted to keep y'all informed as to the progress of our multiplication process. We'll update further in the event of new variables.

Baby Shower!

For those of you who don't know, Mags is going to Colorado this weekend to take part in her baby shower. We're a little nervous about all the traveling this late in the pregnancy, but Mags is excited to go out and see everybody.

For those of you who'll be at the party, see ya there!

29 Weeks

As promised, here's another picture of Maggie's developing belly. We thought the blog should have a pic of the father on it.

We like to call this picture "Look What I Can Do!"

We really have been excited to watch all the new things that are happening as our little girl gets closer and closer to her grand entrance to the world.

We're both getting anxious to meet the little one.

Also here is a video of how crazy it can look when the little one decides she wants to change position. I guess it's getting pretty cramped in there.

1st Live Comedy Show

We're taking the kid (we have to really) to see Jim Gaffigan tonight. His humor is mostly clean, but still some material may not be appropriate for prenatal audiences. Oh well, it's not like we can leave the baby at home. I think she'll enjoy it even if he does get a little dirty at times.

We should have some more pics up later this weekend. So check back on Sunday night or thereabouts.

Well, we've moved! Similar name, new trimester, new look, same wonderful subject (Little Sander). Stay tuned for more exciting news.

Anyhow, we're lookin' at the final third of the pregnancy. Yep. Third trimester started at 26.666666666666 weeks, or about Thursday afternoon at 3:59pm. - Just a rough estimate!

Here're some more bulging belly (tumid tummy) pics.
