Visit from Grandma Kitty

Grandma Kitty came and stayed with us for a couple days this week. I think we all did a pretty good job of keeping her awake at night.

Kittitas County's First Baby of 2008!

It turns out that we had the first baby of 2008 in our county. As a result we are on the first page of the Ellensburg Daily Record! We also won hundreds of dollars in gifts and prizes from the community. Here is a link to the article: First Baby Is a Girl! They got most everything right, but we were disappointed to see that they made a mistake where it counts the most--they screwed up the grandparents' names. Most notably, they neglected to include Grandma Kathy.

Other than that, we just want to thank everyone for their support and love. We wish you all could see little Elke in person, but we're sure you all will in time.

Elke Stanley Sander

Our baby girl, Elke Stanley Sander, was born on January 1, 2008 at 12:29am. She is doing very well as is her mother. She was 8 pounds, 1 ounce and 19 inches long at birth. Here is a slide show of pictures. If you want to download or see one of the pictures larger, just click on the show as it moves.
